December 17, (THEWILL) – Former Nigerian Ambassador to the United States of America, Mike Gbashah, is to be buried on Monday, December 18, 2023, at his village, Tse Gbashah Ikyobo Azenke, Mbagbera district of Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
His body left Garki Hospital, Abuja, to Saint John’s Hospital Mortuary, Gboko, on December 14, 2023.
A statement released by the deceased eldest son, John Gbashah, said on December 17, 2023, they would hold a service of songs at Saint Johns’ Church, Tsuwa, along Vandeikya-Mbaduku road.
The statement added that the final interment of the late Ambassador comes up on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Tse Gbashah Ikyobo Azenke.
According to the statement, the late Ambassador Gbashah left behind many children and great-grandchildren, as well as other relations.
Meanwhile, the Mbagbera Development Association (MDA), Makurdi branch has described Ambassador Gbashah as someone who cares for those who came his way and will be greatly missed.
Makurdi branch chairman of the Association, Mr Paul Nongo, said the vacuum created by his death will be difficult to fill, and however, noted that they are consoled that Amb. Gbashah left an indelible mark in the course of serving the nation in different capacities.
He prayed to God to grant the family and the entire Mbagbera Community the fortitude to bear the loss.
