May 23, (THEWILL) – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday, postponed the screening of its presidential aspirants, earlier scheduled for Monday, May 23, because the National Working Committee (NWC) needed to brief President Muhammadu Buhari on the composition of the panel and also the modalities for the screening exercise, THEWILL can authoritatively report.

“Our Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, as on Sunday night, had not been able to meet with the President to consult with him on the composition of the presidential screening panel. You know we have to carry the President along in everything that we do. So once he meets with him and he clears the names of members of the panel and the modalities for the screening, that is when we will fix the date”, our source with knowledge of the development said.

THEWILL gathered exclusively that Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has been proposed as Chairman of the screening panel by the NWC, subject to the president’s approval.
