BEVERLY HILLS, August 18, (THEWILL) – Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has appointed seven new commissioners and forwarded the names of the nominees to the State’s House of Assembly for confirmation.

The move appears to be the governor’s bid to reshuffle the cabinet.

In a letter to the Speaker Funminiyi Afuye, which was read at Tuesday’s plenary, the governor urged the legislature to approve them.

The nominees are Otunba Diran Adesua (Ekiti East); Prince Olabode Adetoyi (Moba); Dr Olabimpe Aderiye (Ido Osi); Dr Oye Filani (Ikole); Princess Iyabo Fakunle (Ilejemeje); Mrs. Mariam Ogunlade (Emure) and Mr. Akin Omole (Oye).

The governor also nominated two persons for board positions – Prof Femi Akinwunmi (SUBEB) and Mr. Febisola Adewale (Local Government Service Commission).
