The approvals followed a year of robust financial performance despite a challenging operating environment. FCMB Group reported a profit before tax of ₦202.1 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025, representing an increase of 81 percent from ₦111.9 billion recorded a year earlier.

The group also recorded double-digit profit growth across its major business divisions. Profit before tax grew by 110 per cent in the Banking Group, while Consumer Finance, Investment Banking and Investment Management recorded growth of 107 percent, 90 percent and 29 percent, respectively.

The company said the momentum continued into 2026, with all business segments posting strong first-quarter growth.

Chairman, Mr. Ladi Jadesimi, said the results demonstrate the resilience of FCMB Group’s diversified business model and reaffirm its commitment to balancing shareholder returns with long-term growth.

Group Chief Executive, Mr. Ladi Balogun, described 2025 as a transformative year, attributing the performance to stronger collaboration across the group’s businesses.

He added that the successful completion of the group’s recapitalisation programme has positioned FCMB for its next phase of growth.

Shareholder representatives commended the board and management for the company’s performance, while noting improvements in asset quality, SME financing, and long-term value creation.

FCMB reported total assets of ₦7.63 trillion, while consumer and SME lending rose to ₦930 billion. Assets under management also increased by 24.2 percent to ₦1.70 trillion.
