FG Announces Mauritius Scholarship Application For Nigerian Students

January 02, (THEWILL) – The Federal Government has urged Nigerian students, who are willing to apply for scholarships in Mauritius to start the application process from now till the closing date of 19th April 2024.

The Federal Ministry of Education announced in a statement signed by the Federal Scholarship Board Management.

“The Mauritius Ministry of Education Science and Technology is inviting applications from eligible Nigerian students both Undergraduate and Postgraduate for the Academic year 2024.

“The application form is obtainable from the websites below and must be filled electronically, printed and signed: http://ministry-education.govmu.org or http://highereducationmauritius.com.

“All applicants must have applied for at least one full-time on-campus programme at a public Higher Education Institution (HEI), of their choice (listed under Section 8)”, the statement read.

Applicants have been directed to either obtain a conditional offer (letter of admission) from their chosen Mauritian public HEI and submit this along with the scholarship application.

They are also required to submit an acknowledgement notice from a Mauritian public HEI that the application for the seat has been made and the appropriate application fees have been paid.

“All candidates must submit the fully completed application form and document listed under sections 1-6, as part of their application to Federal Scholarship Board, Abuja on or before 19th April 2024″, the statement added.

Regarding the eligibility criteria, candidates must be Nigerians, undergraduates should be above 18 years of age and should not have reached their 26th birthday by 1 January 2025.

For the postgraduate degree, candidates should not have reached their 40th year birthday by 1 January 2025 while their health certificates are important from recognised Government Hospitals.

“Good WAEC results for undergraduate, Masters and PhD, minimum of second class upper (2.1)”, the Federal Scholarship Board Management added.
