BEVERLY HILLS, March 21, (THEWILL) –Â The National Assembly (NASS) has announced that the 2018 budget will be laid before both chambers on April 19 and subsequently passed on April 24.
THEWILL recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari, on 7th November, 2017, as constitutionally stipulated, laid before the NASS, the Executive budget proposals for 2018.
However, passage of the budget was stalled as the Lawmakers accused the executive of failing to defend the budget.
However, the dates have been announced in a statement made on Wednesday by Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Dogara said the harmonised date was decided by the both chambers of the National Assembly.
