
May 10, (THEWILL) – A section of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base, located along Airport Road, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been gutted by fire.
Sources at NAF base told THEWILL that the fire was caused by aviation fuel kept in over ground cylinders. Two cars were burnt while no casualty was recorded
Head of Operations, Federal Fire Service, FCT, Amiola Adebayo, who confirmed the incident, said firefighters were on ground to suppress the situation.
However, spokesperson of the Agency, Abraham Paul, said the fire had been brought under control.
“Yes, fuel tank fire incident. Fire under control”, he said.
