December 17, (THEWILL) – A section of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), power sub-station in Maryland junction, Lagos, has been gutted by fire.
However, residents in the area told newsmen, on Sunday, that the fire, which started around 20:06 hours on Saturday night, had been put out by men of the Ilupeju Fire Station of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
While THEWILL can not immediately confirm the cause of the inferno and level of damage, it learnt that residents in the area were quick to contact the fire service before escalating to residential areas in Maryland.
