May 03, (THEWILL) – The offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, has been gutted by fire.
Local sources said the fire started at about 9pm on Monday and razed almost the entire building with nothing removed from the office.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
THEWILL reports that neither the Zamfara State Police Command nor the INEC authorities in the state have confirmed the incident or if there was any casualty, as of the time of this report.
Efforts to reach INEC’s Head of Voters’ Education and Publicity in Zamfara State were unsuccessful.
