Gbenga Agboola

April 21, (THEWILL) — Flutterwave CEO, Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, has been named to Endeavour’s 2026 Outlier Class for the sixth consecutive year, underscoring his sustained impact on Africa’s payments landscape and emerging markets globally.

Endeavour, a global organisation supporting high-growth entrepreneurs, said this year’s Outlier cohort reflects founders building resilient, globally competitive companies despite economic uncertainty. Agboola, who joined the network in 2019, has since evolved from entrepreneur to active ecosystem builder serving as a board member, investor, and mentor to rising founders.

Under his leadership, Flutterwave has achieved major milestones, including recognition on TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies list in 2025 and multiple industry awards. The company expanded global payment corridors, including Africa–Asia routes, and processed nearly $1 billion in the first half of 2025, contributing to over $40 billion in total transaction value across more than one billion transactions.

Flutterwave also strengthened its infrastructure through partnerships with blockchain firms and took strategic steps in 2026 to become a full-stack financial services provider, including acquiring open banking platform Mono and securing a microfinance banking licence.

Beyond Flutterwave, Agboola invests in and mentors startups through his venture platform, Resilience17, which backs over 70 companies. He has also launched Go Time AI, focused on supporting artificial intelligence innovation in emerging markets.

His continued inclusion in Endeavour’s Outlier Class highlights both his leadership and his broader role in shaping Africa’s fintech and innovation ecosystem.
