October 13, (THEWILL) – A former Minister of Interior, Bello Maitama Yusuf, has died in the early hours of Friday, in Kano State, aged 76.
Born in Gwaram, Jigawa State, in 1947, Bello Yusuf was minister of interior in 1981 and minister of commerce in 1982.
He was also a member of the Nigerian Senate between 1999 and 2007.
His death was confirmed by a family friend of the deceased, Alhaji Hussaini Dalhatu.
