February 11, (THEWILL) – The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dauda Ali Biu, has been applauded for his pragmatic leadership style, which has put smiles on the faces of the generality of staff of the Corps across the country.
The Unit Commander of Lekki Unit Command of the FRSC, Assistant Corps Commander Sani Abdullahi, gave the commendation while decorating the newly promoted officers of his Command on Friday.
According to him, the mass jubilation that erupted across the Commands nationwide following the release of the results of the last promotion exercise was an indication that it met the expectations of the generality of the staff across board.
Sani enjoined the beneficiaries of the promotion to justify the confidence reposed in them, saying the best way to reciprocate the gesture was for all to improve their productivity.
“The Massive jubilation we saw as soon as the promotion was released was a clear indication that staff were satisfied with the outcome of the exercise and it was also a reflection of the moods of the staff across the country.
“Everyone must, therefore, realign with the new beginning of staff welfare, prompt promotion and provision of conducive working environment, which Corps Marshal Biu is promoting in his Management style,” he stated.
The Unit Commander while congratulating the newly promoted officers for earning their elevation through satisfactory performance in the promotion exercise, urged them to work harder to improve their productivity levels, saying to whom much is given, much is expected.
Sani commended Road Safety stakeholders for their consistency in supporting the campaign for a safer environment, stressing that Road Safety is a shared responsibility in which everyone must play a role. “Road Traffic management can only be successfully carried out when everyone is committed to addressing the challenge which the menace of road traffic crashes poses to our collective existence,” he stressed.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Superintendent Route Commander Adegoke promised not to let the Corps down in their new ranks as the elevation has increased their morals and commitment to their various assignments. Among those promoted were four Route Commanders to Superintendent Route Commander rank while two Assistant Route Commanders were decorated as Deputy Route Commanders.
The regimental event was witnessed by the staff of the Command, traditional rulers and special guests including Alhaji Hassan Ogakwu, a prominent community leader within the area.
