BEVERLY HILLS, July 10, (THEWILL) – The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has described the late politician and elder statesman, Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi, as a man of wisdom who served Nigeria diligently.
The governor, in a statement issued by his Director-General, Media and Communications, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, recalled that the late Alhaji Shinkafi, Marafan Sokoto, played a vital role in sustaining democracy in the country.
“Nigerians will greatly miss the experience and wisdom of Alhaji Shinkafi. He was a gentleman who devoted his life to this country,” the statement asserted.
Ganduje commiserated with the family of the deceased as well as the government and people of Sokoto state over the monumental loss, urging the bereaved family members to take solace in the fact that Shinkafi lived a fulfilled life.
