January 25, (THEWILL) — Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State said that God has answered the people’s prayers for peace, progress, and the development of the state.

The Governor made the declaration while distributing motorcycles to media practitioners and social media influencers at the Government House, Kano, at the weekend.

“We have been praying for peace, progress and development of the state, and I am glad to note that Allah (SWT) has answered our prayers, as things are getting better in our dear Kano State,” he said.

He said the prayers included the recent recitation from the Holy Qur’an conducted at the Government House by Islamic scholars drawn from the 44 local government areas of the state.

“We are grateful to Allah (SWT) for answering our prayers because we are seeing changes; things are getting better in terms of peace, progress and development in the state”, Yusuf said.

He urged the people of the state to remain prayerful and united, as his administration continues to roll out development projects, empowerment and other dividends of democracy for their well-being.

The Governor said he had always put the interests of the people of the state first in whatever decisions, moves, or directions he took.

“We put Kano first in whatever decision we took or will take, because we believe that this administration is people-oriented, hence its policies and programmes must serve the people’s interest”, he stated.

Yusuf explained that the motorcycles were distributed to support the journalists and social media influencers in appreciation of their role in disseminating government policies and programmes.

He said his administration would continue to roll out empowerment programmes, especially for the youth, to enable them to become self-reliant.

He urged the beneficiaries drawn from the 44 local government areas of the state to report such government activities and other issues around the state responsibly, taking into consideration the religion and culture of the people.
