April 23, (THEWILL) – A Pro-Democracy Group, Razaq Kolade Olokoba Political Network Coalition, has given kudos to the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, for a durable legacy he is bequeathing the state, saying, “The way he is going, at the end of the day, his name will permanently remain indelible in the history book of the state for several generations yet unborn to read.
Convener of the Coalition, Comrade Razaq Olokoba, admitted that, building of edifices, constructing bridges and providing smooth networks of roads are also part of legacies, he, however, lauded the governor for going beyond the concrete infrastructure to other ingredients that make life worthy of living.
Olokoba mentioned peace, security, harmony and secured economy as indices that always guarantee quality of life, peaceful coexistence and conducive environment for pursuance of economic activities saying, regular payment of salaries and other emoluments give the people the opportunity to have a cash projection and monthly budget because their entitlements are regular.
According to Olokoba, it is not like what was obtainable in the previous administrations when salaries were owed, emoluments were delayed and entitlements were denied, believing that “against the above backdrop, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq deserves kudos.
Olokoba, commended the people of the state for their foresight in returning AbdulRazaq to office for a second term, expressing the delight that “failure to do that would have put the state in a great jeopardy.
The renowned activist and National President of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), therefore, urged the good people of the state to double their support for the governor and his administration so that the legacy he has started building will continue progressively for the benefit of the generality of the citizenry.
He also admonished the governor and his team for doing a good job, urging them not to relent in their efforts at consolidating the gains of the first term that paved the way for their second tenure in office.
