March 21, (THEWILL) – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has won governorship elections in majority of 28 States where gubernatorial polls were held on March 18, 2023.
With results of four States still pending (Adamawa, Kebbi, Abia and Enugu), the APC has claimed 15 Governor seats.
These include Lagos, Ogun, Cross River, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Niger, Benue, Katsina, Yobe, Kwara, Borno, Sokoto, Gombe and Jigawa State.
However, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in Oyo, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Plateau, Taraba and Zamfara State.
Also, a new breed, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), clinched Kano State.
