August 30, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC), has disowned the purported list of campaign councils for the November 11 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo states.
In a statement on Tuesday night, National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, urged the public to disregard the lists.
Morka said the lists were not an official document from the party.
“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to National Campaign Council Lists for the 11th November, 2023 Governorship Elections in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo States in circulation in sections of the media.
“The lists are not official documents of the Party and should be disregarded”, he said.
THEWILL reports that the purported list for the November 11 Gubernatorial election in Bayelsa, had the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister and immediate-past governor of Rivers State, as members.
Wike, who is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was number 6 on the list.
The PDP had earlier listed Wike as member of the Bayelsa Campaign Council.
