BEVERLY HILLS, January 22, (THEWILL) –Â Unknown gunmen have abducted Comrade Monday Izu, the Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, Delta State University, Abraka Branch.
The whereabouts of Comrade Izu, who was abducted on Thursday night, is still unknown as his abductors were yet to open any contact with family members.
Police Public Relations Officer in Delta state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.
Onovwakpoyeya told journalists that efforts were in top gear by operatives of the Command to rescue the SSANU leader unhurt as well as apprehend the abductors.
