November 05, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, have attacked the residence of Nasiru Ahmed Kiyawa, the Chairman of Kiyawa Local Government in Jigawa State, and abducted his two wives.
Kiyawa told BBC that the gunmen stormed his house after Isha’i prayer on Friday night.
“They fired twice at my door before entering. From there, they took my two wives, they are still holding them hostage”, he told BBC Hausa.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Lawan Adam Shiisu, confirmed the incident.
