January 06, (THEWILL) – Gunmen on Thursday attacked a Divisional Police Headquarters in Dikenafai, Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State.
The gunmen, THEWILL, learnt attacked parts of the station with explosives and set free the detainees.
The explosives reportedly destroyed the administrative office, the Divisional Police Officer’s office, and the reception desk.
Chairman of Ideato South LGA Interim Management Committee, Pastor Bede Ikeaka, who confirmed the development, expressed shock at the incident.
But Imo Police Command spokesman, Michael Abattam, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said he was yet to be briefed.
