October 18, (THEWILL) – Heavily armed assailants on Monday attacked the Ohaukwu Divisional Police Headquarters, in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The assailants, who stormed the station around 2 am, released all the suspects detained in the police facility.
Some operational vehicles were also set ablaze in the incident.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Loveth Odah, confirmed the attack.
The incident is the latest in what appears to be a growing trend of attacks on police stations and security personnel in the Southeastern part of the country.
