BEVERLY HILLS, June 03, (THEWILL) – The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on Friday announced the fares for this year’s Hajj.

According to the statement issued by Head, Media Unit, NAHCON, Uba Mana, the minimum fare for a pilgrim is about N1 million.

“The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) hereby announce the 2016 Hajj fares as follows: Northern departure zones: minimum fare (with $750 BTA) N 998,248.92; medium fare (with $1,000 BTA) N1, 047,498.92 and maximum fare (with $1,500 BTA) N1, 145,998.92,” the statement read.

“Southern departure zones: minimum fare ($750) N1, 008,197.42; medium fare ($1,000) N1, 057,447.42; and maximum fare ($1,500) N1, 155,947.42

“The Commission uses this medium to request the States Boards, Agencies and Commissions to speed up the process of collecting the balance of the hajj fares from intending pilgrims and remitting same to NAHCON to facilitate early conclusion of necessary arrangements.

“Other hajj fare components which include suitcases and uniform are to be determined by the State Pilgrims Boards, Agencies and Commissions.”
