February 14, (THEWILL) – The Managing Director of Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Rabi’u Bichi, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for earmarking N150 billion in the 2025 Appropriation Bill for the construction of a railway line in Kano.
In a statement issued on Friday, Bichi described the allocation as a transformative initiative that would revolutionize transportation, enhance connectivity, and stimulate economic growth in the state.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership in prioritizing this critical infrastructure project. The railway line will not only ease movement within Kano but also position the city as a hub for commerce and industry,” he said.
The HJRBDA boss noted that Tinubu’s administration had demonstrated a strong commitment to infrastructure development, citing the 2025 budget’s emphasis on hospital revitalization and healthcare investment as further proof of this agenda.
“The allocation for the Kano railway line reflects the government’s dedication to transforming Nigeria’s infrastructure landscape. This project will significantly improve the quality of life for Kano residents and foster greater economic opportunities,”he added.
Bichi also commended Hon. Abubakar Bichi, representing Bichi Federal Constituency, for his efforts in attracting developmental projects to the area, as well as the contributions of APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, towards national growth and stability.
“We look forward to witnessing the far-reaching impact of this initiative on Kano and its people,” he stated.
