April 02, (THEWILL) – Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, has addressed the age-long beef with his colleague, Ayo Makun, also known as AY.
While performing at an event recently, guests at the event urged him to speak on their beef and address AY’s claims that N30,000 is the reason for their beef.
Unfortunately, the comedian stated that he doesn’t want AY to ever hear from him.
He admitted that though he wants to speak on it, he knows that many would record it and leak it online.
“My side of the story! No. To be honest, I love to talk about it but some people will record it and it will leak.
“I don’t want that guy to ever hear from me,” he stated.
This is coming after AY shared the genesis of his long-standing beef with Basketmouth.
In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, AY was asked why he talked about an uncontrollable superiority complex when a fan asked about the misunderstanding between him and Basketmouth in a question-and-answer section on his Instagram stories in May 2022.
Revealing what led to their beef, he went down memory lane and stated that it started in 2006 when he was still a bachelor and trying to earn a living.
He said he stood in for Basketmout at an event, however, he didn’t receive his pay, which was thirty thousand Naira.
He later found out that Basketmouth had been paid in advance before the event but refused to disclose that to him.
