December 22, (THEWILL) – Big Brother Naija star, Chinonso Ibinabo Opara, also known as Kim Oprah, recently shared that during her undergraduate days, she sold recharge cards, sachet water and eggs.
During an interview on ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast, she said, “I went to the University of Port Harcourt, me and my sister, we used to sell recharge cards, pure water, eggs because around our side, there wasn’t a kiosk, so we became the kiosk.”
Delving into her experiences at the University of Port Harcourt, Kim Oprah revealed her reluctance to attend a public school during that period.
“I wanted to go to private school, but there’s this thing my mum called complete education. So me and my sister went to private primary and secondary schools. My brother did public school, then went to a private university, which was Covenant University.”
She revealed that her mother comfortably filled in the shoes of her late father, “I’ve always been my mum’s handbag and we speak everyday.”
Kim also revealed that although her mother is a die-hard fan of the Big Brother show, she, however, never thought of being on the reality TV show until her manager suggested it while she was in Lagos.
