February 02,(THEWILL) – Adesua Etomi, wife of singer-cum-politician, Bankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, has revealed that she was worried at first when her husband told her about his political ambition.
She made this known in a recent interview with HipTV. According to the mother of one, the two of them had to discuss her concerns on several occasions.
Etomi added that the worries died down the moment she realized that he was chasing a greater purpose.
“When Banky said he was going into politics, I was a little bit worried.
“I spoke about this many times before but I also believe that purpose is more important than fear.
“I want to see him prove purpose, so he has my support, 100 percent.”
The duo got married in November 2017, and their union is blessed with a son.
In June 2020, the politician opened up about how his marriage to Etomi endured difficult moments the year he ventured into politics.
He said the outcome of the election in 2019 strained his relationship, particularly after he and Adesua lost their first pregnancy, which was a set of twins.
