The appointment of Disu is coming just a week after Rivers State Governor, Siminalaye Fubara, accused CP Nwonyi Emeka of partisan interest in the political crisis that rocked the State recently.

Fubara had accused some police officers of attempting to kill him when he went to access the level of damage done to the State House of Assembly, following an explosion that greatly affected the hallowed chambers.

Meanwhile, a dispatch signal from the Force Headquarters in Abuja, said the redeployment takes immediate effect.

Egbetokun charged the new CPs to demonstrate professional competence in the new offices they have been assigned to lead, across the country.
