December 01, (THEWILL) – A Chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has said that he has dedicated his life to youth development, supporting women, quality leadership and peace in the country.
He maintained that nothing will make him deviate from working for youth development because the youths are the future of the country, and will be supportive of the feminine gender while providing quality leadership and promoting peace and unity in the country.
Ajadi, who was the governorship candidate of the NNPP in Ogun State during the last governorship election in the country, said he believes that there is a need to guide the youths from bad behaviour, put them on a good pedestal, and ensure that they are not lured into criminality.
He made this known after he received the award of ‘Golden Son of Yoruba land’, which was bestowed on him by the Oyo State Canteen Workers Union on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Recreation Ground, Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
The Chairperson of the Oyo State Canteen Workers Union, Alhaja Amdalat Iyadunni Lawal, said the honour was bestowed on Ajadi for his dedication to peace, youth and women development, and quality leadership.
THEWILL recalls that there were reports of Ajadi’s philanthropic endeavours, especially to indigent youths, particularly in Southwestern states, and this has earned him widespread recognition.
Beyond politics, he has made a significant impact in the entrepreneurial field and has provided youths with training and equipment to take off after the training.
While speaking on the award, Ajadi said he is grateful for the award, saying he appreciates the Oyo State Canteen Workers Union for their good gesture.
He said he is happy that his dedication and contributions to the growth of Ogun State, Yorubaland and the country as a whole are being appreciated, saying that will push him to do more.
According to him, “I am happy that my little efforts are being appreciated and that will push me to do more. I am dedicated to youth development because the youth are the leaders of tomorrow. So, if we want the future of the country to be bright, we need to take care of the youth. Nothing will stop me from promoting the development of youth.
“I have engaged in training of youths, particularly in Ogun State, and upon completion of training, I have facilitated for them equipment and funds to start their own businesses. I am doing this to ensure that our youths are lured out of bad behaviours such as drug trafficking, and swindling activities popularly referred to as Yahoo among other bad tendencies.
“I am also dedicated to the promotion of peace in the country because, without peace, the nation cannot progress.”
The award ceremony was graced by the Paramount King of Fuji, Alhaji Abass, who entertained the guests; A.J Otolowo of United Kingdom; Hon. Kilamuwaye Badmus, the Southwest Public Relations Officer of the NNPP; Comrade Olowu Olayemi Omokehinde, PRO, Ogun State Chapter of the NNPP; Hon. Fatai Adenaya, and Hon. Akingbala Semiu.
