SAN FRANCISCO, July 30, (THEWILL) – The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu, has officially declared that the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) led by Ibraheem Zakzaky has officially been proscribed and all protests by the movement banned.

According to him, anyone associated with the IMN or furthering their agenda will be treated as a terrorist and an enemy of the state.

THEWILL recalls that the Federal Government got a Court ruling which declared the group as a terrorist organisation.

Members of the group have been carrying out protests, sometimes violent, seeking the release of their leader.

One of such protest led to the death of a Youth Corps member serving at Channels amongst other dead victims.
