April 23, (THEWILL) – Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and the entire Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structure in the state have resolved to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The decision was reached during a meeting of party leaders held at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday.
They are expected to formally join the APC on Monday, with the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, scheduled to receive them.
Confirming the development, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, alongside the Commissioner for Works (Rural and Public Communications), Charles Aniagwu, and Senator James Manager, said the move was a unanimous decision by party leaders and stakeholders.
“We cannot continue to be in a sinking boat,” Manager said.
