APRIL 17, (THEWILL) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has suspended its embattled Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in Adamawa state, Barr. Hudu Yunusa-Ari from office.

Yunusa-Ari had Illegally declared the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Aisha Dahiru Binani, as the winner of the Adamawa governorship election; an action which the INEC condemned and consequently ordered the suspension of further collation of the state gubernatorial election result.

However, INEC in a letter dated April 17, 2023, and signed by its Secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, has directed its Administrative Secretary in the state to take charge of its affairs.
