ISWAP Abducts Three Humanitarian Workers, Security Guards In Borno

April 27, (THEWILL) – At least three humanitarian workers, along with two security guards, working with Family Health International (FHI 360), have been reportedly abducted by members of the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP).

FHI 360 is a non-profit human development organisation, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people of the North-East.

A report by Zagazola Makama, a Counter-insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region, said the terrorists invaded the Guest House of the non-governmental organisation, in Ngala, Borno State, at about 4 am on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, and whisked the workers away to an unknown destination.

FHI 360 has not issued any statement on the incident. Also, the Borno State Police Command has not confirmed the incident.
