March 20, (THEWILL) – Actor cum author, Jim Iyke, has reacted to the advice Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, gave to Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
Prior to Saturday’s governorship election, Oba Akiolu declared his support for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urging Rhodes-Vivour not to relent if he loses the governorship election.
“For Gbadebo, the future is open to you. God will not kill you, there is nothing wrong in you contesting. Don’t relent after this contest but I am fully behind Sanwo-Olu,” Akiolu had stated when Rhodes-Vivour visited his palace.
Registering his reservation concerning the Oba’s remark, Iyke asked his followers what democracy means, as he takes a subtle swipe at the traditional ruler.
The actor also disclosed that a wise man made him take the choice of dual citizenship seriously, adding that he is glad he listened.
“Somebody please remind me again what democracy means, Google has failed me,” he wrote.
“A wise man made me take the choice of dual, even multiple citizenships, seriously years ago. I listened.
“I’m here for some logical insights, no man is an island. Not here for dimwits insults, please take note. God bless Nigeria, SMH.”
