BEVERLY HILLS, February 25, (THEWILL) – The Kaduna State House of Assembly has elected Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, the deputy speaker, as Speaker following Tuesday’s resignation of Rt. Hon. Amknu Abdullahi Shagali from the position.
Hon. Zailani, a member of the majority party, All Progressives Congress, APC, represents Igabi West Constituency in the Assembly.
Also, Hon. Mukhatar Isa Hazo, representing Bassawa Constituency has been elected Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.

They have both been sworn in by the Clerk of the Assembly.
THEWILL can report that the erstwhile Speaker hurriedly resigned after it became glaring that legislators had gathered sufficient signatures to remove him from office over a matter that was not clear as at the time of writing this report.
