September 27, (THEWILL) — Kano State Government says it is ready to partner with the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (FMHUD) to provide mass housing in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Director, Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Housing Development, Malam Adamu Abdullahi.

Abdullahi said the state Commissioner of Housing Development, Arc Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, stated this when he received the Federal Controller of Housing, Kano Office, TPL Danbaba Yahaya, and his officials when they paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Arc Yakubu Adamu said the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was poised to make accessible housing available for all citizens, noting that the Federal Ministry of Housing had a vital role to play in achieving the desired goal.

The commissioner enjoined the Controller and his team to accord all necessary support to the State Government, adding that his ministry was always ready to collaborate with any organisation that is ready to develop the state’s housing sector.

Earlier, TPL Danbaba Yahaya told the Commissioner that they were in his office to seek the state government’s support through the ministry, recalling the support they had enjoyed when Arc Yakubu Adamu was the Managing Director of KNUPDA.

He praised the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for its infrastructure development programme in the state, and assured of his office’s continued support to the State Government.

Abdullahi Yusuf is a seasoned journalist, communicator and was previously the Deputy Editor-In-Chief and Zonal Manager, News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Jos, where he retired on December 15, 2021
