January 13, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State Council, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his victory at the Supreme Court.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen on Saturday, by the Union’s Chairman, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, and Secretary, Comrade Abba Murtala.
According to the statement, “The Supreme Court verdict is the testimony that Allah has answered the prayers of the overwhelming majority of the people of the State, who massively voted for you on 18th March 2023.
“The Court’s final and total verdict also serves as a Go-ahead flag for you to continue with your laudable and selfless leadership, which you have rendered to the people of the State in the last seven months.
“As the Umbrella Union of Journalists in the State, we pledge our continued cooperation and support and look forward to working with your Administration towards the development of Kano State and the Journalism profession.”
Abdullahi Yusuf is a seasoned journalist, communicator and was previously the Deputy Editor-In-Chief and Zonal Manager, News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Jos, where he retired on December 15, 2021
