Kano Public Complaints Commission Arrests Suspect Over N2.3bn Land Scam

October 25, (THEWILL) – The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has apprehended one, Musa Salihu Ahmed,for allegedly selling 632 government’s occupancy permit for residential plots worth 2.3bn Naira.

The Chairman of the commission,Mr Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, who disclosed this to newsmen in Kano,
said the suspect was picked up at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, shortly after arriving from Saudi Arabia.

Rimin Gado said that the suspect using Lamash as a company allegedly sold the plots at about N2.5 million each to individuals in Challawa/ Panshekara in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

Similarly,he said, the suspect was found to have sold assorted plots of land to residents of Dawanau in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state .

“We are currently investigating the suspect how he was allocated 632 residential plots by the past administration and was allegedly sold to different individuals in the state,” the chairman said.

He said the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed.
