October 08, (THEWILL) – The Kogi State Accord Party governorship candidate for the November 11th election, Admiral (Rtd) Jibrin Usman, has joined other dignitaries to congratulate His Royal Highness, King Sediq Ahmed, on his coronation as the Ejeh of Ankpa.
The coronation which took place on Saturday at Ankpa local government of the state was graced by Jibrin whose arrival at the venue was greeted with a rousing welcome.
Speaking at the occasion to the press, the former Chief of Naval Staff disclosed that he “showed up to consolidate his respect and reverence for the traditional institutions,” adding that he wishes the king a “peaceful and prosperous reign.”
Jibrin expressed delight in the occasion, stating in clear terms that the traditional institutions in the state must continue to be respected if the state is to experience real growth and development.
The governirship candidate was received by traditional rulers, party members, youth and women groups some of whom were with placards with different inscriptions cheering his arrival.
King Sediq, a couple of months ago, was appointed as the Ejeh of Ankpa by the Kogi State Government. He was officially coronated on Saturday thus marking the beginning of his reign.
