July 17, (THEWILL) – Suspense and confusion, over the leadership of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), continued on Monday, as Deputy National Chairman (North) of the party, Senator Abubakar Kyari, presided over a meeting of the Committee on Monday.
THEWILL earlier reported that Adamu resigned as National Chairman of APC on Sunday. Adamu was reported to have tendered his resignation with the National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
While the party has not officially confirmed the development, THEWILL learnt that as at 10:40 am on Monday, Kyari led a team of seven other members of the NWC to a meeting in the National secretariat in Abuja.
According to The Nation, the official car of the Deputy National Chairman was parked in the lot reserved for the National Chairman.
Kyari came in with the Deputy National Chairman (South), Emma Enukwu; National Vice Chairman (North West), Salihu Lukman; National Vice Chairman (North East), Salihu Mustapha; National Vice Chairman (North Central), Muazu Bawa; National Vice Chairman (South West), Issacs Kekemeke; National Vice Chairman (South East), Ejoroma Arodiogu and the Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter
The National Secretary of the party, Senator Iyiola Omisore, also joined the meeting about some few minutes after 11 am.
