March 02, (THEWILL) — Lafarge Africa Plc has reported a remarkable N1.1 trillion turnover for the 2025 financial year, marking a historic milestone in the company’s history.
WThis represents a 53 percent increase from its N697 billion revenue in 2024, signaling robust growth despite challenging market conditions.
The company’s profitability also soared, with profit after tax climbing to N273 billion, more than double the previous year’s figure of N100 billion.
Operating profit followed a similar trajectory, reaching approximately N392 billion, while earnings per share jumped from N6.22 to N17, underscoring the strength of its operational performance.
Management attributed this stellar performance to higher sales volumes, improved plant efficiency, disciplined cost management, and strategic execution across all business units.
The company’s ability to maintain reliable production and optimize distribution channels played a key role in driving these results.
Looking ahead, Lafarge Africa is expanding its capacity at key cement plants, including Ashakacem in Gombe and Sagamu in Ogun State, which is expected to further strengthen its market position.
The board has also proposed a significant increase in dividends, reflecting confidence in the company’s sustained profitability and commitment to shareholders.
With these results, Lafarge Africa not only reinforces its leadership in the Nigerian construction materials market but also sets a strong foundation for continued growth, operational excellence, and value creation in the coming years.
