August 18, (THEWILL) – Lagos-based Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have praised Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for returning some members of his cabinet in the first term to work with him again in his second term, describing the step as a right one in the right direction.

The CSOs under the leadership of the renowned activist, Comrade Razaq Olokoba, said having taken a critical look at the new list of the incoming Commissioners and Special Advisers, it observed that those returned must have convinced the Governor beyond reasonable doubt that they can also weather the administrative storm of the second term that is promised to be better than the first one.

Some of the names that gladden the hearts of the CSOs are Mrs Aramide Adeyooye, who was the Governor’s Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure; Professor Akin Abayomi of the Ministry of Health; and Mr. Gbenga Omotosho, who was the Commissioner of Information among others.

On Akin Abayomi, a Professor in the medical field, Olokoba said the importance of his duty during the deadly COVID-19 pandemic could not be down-played, reasoning that his expertise that assist the Governor to save Lagos, albeit the whole country, has made his reappointment a welcome development by the populace.
