August 16, (THEWILL) – The burial of late Ebiakpo Barle, publisher/editor-in-chief of AM Times magazine, has been fixed for 18th-20th August, 2022.
According to a statement signed and issued to journalists in Yenagoa, by the chairman of Bayelsa Independent Publisher (BIPA), Mr Francis Dufgha, there would be a service of songs in honour of the departed publisher on August 18th at Ijaw House in Yenagoa.

The statement further stated that the interment would take place on August 20th at his hometown, Ayakoromo, in Burutu Local Government of Delta state.

The BIPA chairman, however, enjoined all members, journalists and the general public to attend the events to pay their last respect to the departed journalist, activist and publisher.
Barle, who died on the 18th of June, 2022, after a brief illness at the age of 64, was until his demise, the publisher of AM Times magazine published in Yenagoa and a member of BIPA.
The late prolific writer was also a frontline activist and believer in the Ijaw struggle for cultural and political liberty.

The deceased is survived by a wife, two children, grandchildren and many relatives.
