May 19, (THEWILL) – The factional Chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, on Friday, returned to the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) in Abuja, to witness pre-hearing proceedings of the petition filed by the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the winner of the February 25 presidential poll.
This comes after he was mobbed at the PEPC on Wednesday, by youths, who accused him of being used by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the party’s presidential candidate.
He had, on Thursday, hinted that he would return to the tribunal to witness court proceedings, adding that he tried to attend on Wednesday, to assert his authority as the party’s acting national chairman.
However, unlike Wednesday, when he tried to occupy a seat in an area reserved for the LP in the court, Apapa, according to Channels Tv, was spotted seated at the back of the courtroom on Friday.
