August 29, (THEWILL) – Lupita Nyong’o has honored the memory of her late colleague, Chadwick Boseman.
Nyong’o took to Instagram on Sunday, to post a video about the late actor.
Boseman died in August 2020 at the age of 43, after battling Colon cancer. Many were shocked by the news of his death because he kept his diagnosis private.
The video was a conversation between the two thespians and it had the caption “Kept it real, kept it kind” in a tribute to her co-star.
The actress asked Chadwick who had a marker in his hand in the video, “what are you doing?
“I’m signing tickets. I signed somebody’s shoes over there …” he said. The late actor joked that he signed “a pair of Jordans”, even though he didn’t play basketball.
In the video, a crowd of fans surrounded Boseman at a movie theatre, and Nyong’o asked behind the camera, “why do you think they asked you?”
“I don’t know!” Boseman replied. “I have no idea”.
Some of the late actor’s colleagues also made lovely comments about the memory they shared with the actor under Nyong’o’s post.
