March 24, (THEWILL) — Nigeria’s equities market closed on a positive note, rebounding strongly as renewed buying interest lifted key indicators above critical thresholds.

The market capitalisation advanced from ₦127.750 trillion to ₦128.836 trillion, while the NGX All-Share Index (ASI) rose from 199,014.02 points to 200,705.88 points, reclaiming the 200,000 psychological level.

Investor sentiment turned bullish, supported by a strong breadth of 37 gainers against 23 losers, reflecting sustained accumulation across mid- and large-cap stocks.

1 JOHNHOLT advanced by 10.00 percent (N13.00 to N14.30).

2 CONHALLPLC gained 10.00 percent (N4.50 to N4.95).

3 LEGENDINT rose by 10.00 percent (N6.00 to N6.60).

4 AIRTELAFRI rallied 10.00 percent (N2,270.00 to N2,497.00).

5 ZICHIS appreciated by 9.97 percent (N9.43 to N10.37).

Top Losers

1 NPFMCRFBK declined by -6.29 percent (N7.00 to N6.56).

2 ROYALEX dipped -5.32 percent (N1.88 to N1.78).

3 CWG fell by -4.82 percent (N21.80 to N20.75).

4 VERITASKAP shed -4.21 percent (N2.14 to N2.05).

5 UPDC dropped by -3.88 percent (N5.15 to N4.95).

Dangote Cement Plc, Lafarge Africa Plc, Seplat Energy, Guinness Nigeria, Golden Guinea Brewery, and BUA Foods, amongst others, closed flat for the session.

Overall, the market reflected renewed investor confidence, with strong buying momentum driving the rebound and pushing the benchmark index back above the 200,000 mark.
