THEWILL writes that Marsden, who was born in Liverpool, made a 1960s hit with his cover of the Rodgers and Hammerstein song, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, which was originally featured in their musical Carousel.

Liverpool fans adopted ‘The Gerry And The Peacemakers’ version of the song and it became a popular football anthem. It is still sung by Anfield supporters before and during matches.
