June 16, (THEWILL) — Global technology company Meta has launched a suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features on Facebook aimed at helping users find information, create content and enhance photos more easily.
The announcement, made in a post on the company’s website on Monday, introduces AI Mode, a new search experience powered by Meta AI. Unlike traditional search results, AI Mode provides answers based on publicly shared conversations and content across Meta’s platforms, including Facebook Groups and Reels.
Built on Meta AI’s Muse Spark technology, the feature is designed to surface authentic perspectives and experiences from users, enabling more relevant and conversational responses when people search for information or explore content on the platform.
According to Meta, the new tools are intended to help users accomplish tasks more efficiently, whether they are looking for answers, creating shareable content or refining ideas into polished posts.
“Today we’re rolling out new features on Facebook to help you find answers to your questions, create fun photos and videos, and make things happen with the help of AI”, the company said.
Meta described AI Mode as a deeper integration of its AI assistant into everyday Facebook experiences, allowing users to access AI support while browsing their Feed or conducting searches.
Beyond search, the company is also expanding its AI-powered creative tools. Facebook users will now receive enhanced camera roll sharing suggestions, including collage cutout templates and new transition effects that can transform photos and videos into engaging montages with minimal effort.
The company said these suggestions remain optional and can be disabled at any time.
Meta is also introducing AI-powered photo presets that allow users to virtually change clothing, hairstyles and accessories. Among the new options is the ability to digitally try on a sports team jersey through the “Wear It” feature available in Stories and profile picture editing tools.
The latest rollout underscores Meta’s continued investment in AI technologies aimed at transforming how users create, discover and share content across its platforms.
