June 01, (THEWILL) – Benue State governor, Revd Fr Hycinth Alia, has sworn-in newly appointed Secretary to the Benue State Government; Head of Civil Service of Benue State and Chief of Staff to the governor, describing them as engine room of his administration.
Governor Alia, who performed the ceremony at the Government House, Makurdi, on Thursday, therefore, caution them against public and private conduct that will cast aspersion on his administration.
“You must be exemplary in both public and private lives because members of the public will judge my administration based on your conduct.”
Governor Alia noted that he resolves to work and work together as one people with one destiny and set his eyes on Benue people whether they live in Makurdi or in rural communities of the state.
“Let me call on Benue people from all the political divide to join hands to lift up the interest of the state. Politics is now over but time to settle down for a serious work is now.”
He commended all stakeholders that came out in their numbers to grace the inauguration ceremony.
Responding on behalf of others, the Chief of Staff, Mr Paul Biam, promised to abide by the charge the governor has given to them in the course of duty.
While commending the governor for finding them worthy to serve in his administration, Mr Biam pledged to offer selfless service to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Others officials sworn-in are Prof. Joseph Alakali, as Secretary to Benue State Government; and Head of Civil Service of Benue State, Mr Moses Agbogbo Ode.
