BEVERLY HILLS, July 15, (THEWILL) –Â The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has sacked the Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori.
Sani-Omolori was sacked alongside 149 others, including Secretary of the commission, Olusanya Ajakaiye.
This was contained in a letter by the Commission on Wednesday which stated that any staff who has spent 35 years in service or is 60 should leave and would receive their retirement letter soon.
The development finally resolves the tenure elongation agitation for the CNA and the affected staff.
Sani-Omolori had been due for retirement since February 2020 but for a controversial amendment to the Conditions of Service of the National Assembly by the 8th Assembly, which extended their services by five years.
