SAN FRANCISCO, April 07, (THEWILL) – The National Assembly has transmitted the details of the 2016 budget to President Muhammadu Buhari through the President’s Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang.
THEWILL gathered that Enang handed over the bulky documents to the President’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Abba Kyari at state house, Abuja Thursday.
The National Assembly had last week transmitted a summary of the budget to the President without details.
President Buhari, who is due to depart Nigeria next Monday on a state visit to China, was meeting with visiting former President Olusegun Obasanjo while the documents were being delivered to his Chief of Staff.
The President had earlier said he would closely scrutinize the details to ensure that it was in line with the goals of his administration.
